Indian Daze Ahead

Going to Darjelling

semi-overcast 30 °C

In five days I plan to take a week with the teachers at school and travel to an oasis of a place called Darjelling. It is very sacred to the Bhudists and has spectacular views of Mt. Everest and much of the Himalayan range. The experience teaching has been so rewarding already as the children are unbelieveably full of happiness and smiles. It rained for three days here and every street was flooded knee deep. Some even worse. But this is the end of the monsoon season so hopefully these weather episoded will end soon. Well i'm off now to go to class but check back soon. My next entry should be much more comprehensive as I will be in Darjelling and will have had my first chance to brainstorm and do some really in depth thinking on my experiences. Adios

Made it to Kolkata

Indian daze ahead

semi-overcast 28 °C

I arrived in Kolkata today and words wont do it any kind of justice. In fact, I don't even know if the right ones exist for the things I have already seen. I can say this, after 30 hours in a train and getting to see the entire country go by, it has to be one of the most beautiful places on earth. So much green jungle! I even spotted a huge monkey running through a rice patty or some kind of grassy field. Anyway i'm still a bit disoriented right now so I shold stop writing for now so I can rest and gather my thoughts. Check back soon because I already have some stories to tell. And write me please!!! My next post will be in only a couple of days. Peace from India. Brian
